Soon after that, she spends all her time denigrating her children and husband and shows no love whatsoever. It encapsulated the entire show to that point; their frustrations and their anger as all the years of disappointment boiled over.
Just because someone isn't your type, it doesn't make them undesirable or not hot to someone else. Also, Dan and Roseanne were much "wackier" parents in the first season, always laughing at each other and making jokes. Roseanne's sarcasm was better than her "cutesy" moments with Dan's boxer shorts.
